Senior Associate, Commercial

Rebekah is a Senior Associate in Patten Robins’ Commercial team and has experience advising local, national and international clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, IT, charities, pharmaceuticals and resources. Rebekah has advised on buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, IPOs and capital raisings, as well as general corporate advisory and commercial law matters, such as in relation to:

  • corporate secretarial matters;
  • continuous disclosure obligations;
  • directors’ duties;
  • corporate governance; and
  • commercial contract drafting and negotiation.

Prior to joining Patten Robins, Rebekah has worked in private practice at top- and mid-tier Australian law firms, as well as in-house in both the university and mining sectors.

Rebekah’s areas of expertise include:

  • mergers & acquisitions;
  • equity & capital markets;
  • private equity;
  • corporate advisory;
  • Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules advice;
  • corporate restructuring; and
  • foreign investment.

Rebekah’s career highlights include (prior to joining Patten Robins):

  • advising a major global alternative asset manager on the IPO aspects of the dual track disposal (simultaneous IPO and trade sale auction) of its Australian logistics portfolio (although the transaction ultimately executed as a A$3.8 billion trade sale);
  • advising a “Buy Now Pay Later” provider on its IPO and ASX listing with a market capitalisation of $150m;
  • advising an ASX-listed global mining company on various placements and share purchase plans, and convertible note issues, as well as on general corporate governance matters; and
  • advising an Australian end-to-end IT services provider, on its private acquisition of a cyber security business.
